Product Details

This substantial medieval rondel dagger is based on a Museum of London piece and is definitely a soldiers weapon and dated from the end of the 14thC and through most of the 15thC.

The wooden grip is carved with a barley twist and the rondels are fabricated from brass discs with brass and steel rivets and the peen is finished with a decorative washer.

The blade is single edged as most medieval rondel daggers were and is long and very substantial at 8mm thick.

The sheath is a double layer of veg tan leather with risers and finished with a brass chape.

This dagger comes semi-sharp or sharp

Semi-Sharp is 'butter knife sharp'; it has a very fine flat on the edge

Sharp has been ground to give a reasonable cutting edge, but final honing, if required, is by the customer.

Blade length 33cm/13"

Grip 10cm/4"

Overall length 46cm/18"

Please note: The colours may vary in tone from the photos here.  Each skin of leather is different and reacts differently to the dye so they may be darker or lighter in tone
